Wan builds mounting dread with silence and suspense, lingering the camera unsettlingly extended below, creaking a door there.

A light-weight motion-comedy that only attempts to entertain, but at minimum it fulfills that modest aim. And it knocks out lighter excess weight comedies like The College of Rock.
